This page is an introduction to my trip through the South East of the USA in May 2009 that can be most easily be broken down into four main parts:

• The first part was a journey to the Kennedy Space Centre for the STS-125 Atlantis launch on a Hubble servicing mission.  I also took some tours of other areas of the space centre.
• The second describes some other sites I visited while in Florida including the Daytona International Speedway.
• The third part covers my journey back up to Washington DC mostly following the coast.
• The final part covers sites I visited in the Washington DC area.
