Delta Junction

At the end of the Alaska Highway, having passed the Canadian US border, is Delta Junction.  The Alaska Highway meets the Richardson Highway at a point about 7 miles south along the Delta River from Big Delta   hence the name of the town.

At the end of the Alaska Highway is a visitor centre which, because I was so early in the season, was still setting up for business.

This log cabin is close to the visitor centre.

Having reached the end of the Alaska Highway it was time to go explore Alaska starting by driving on to Fairbanks and my arranged trip to the Arctic Circle.
