Newspaper Rock

Newspaper Rock (actually there’s more than one rock) can be viewed from an overlook which includes binoculars to allow you to get a better view of the ancient petroglyphs cut into the large boulders below. These petroglyphs were inscribed by the Anasazi Puebloan people who cut the images into the patina, or “desert varnish,” that formed on the rock surface.
